Parking for The Mayview Guesthouse is available both on-street and at a private car park adjacent to our property:
As you are facing our guesthouse it is two doors down on the left in between ‘The Talking Head Pub’ and ‘The Circle Guesthouse’. Please drive down the driveway between these two buildings and park in the Left-hand side carpark in any marked bay. Upon checking in please advise us you are parked there and let us know your registration. These spaces are available at a cost of £5 per 24 hours. You can park on the street in front of our guesthouse ONLY in bays marked 2 Hours Free Parking. In these bays parking restrictions are only applied between the hours of 8am and 6pm and thus (using your free 2 hours) you can park from 4pm on one day until 10am the next day. Additionally, parking restrictions do not apply on Sunday. Please however do not park on bays marked ‘residents only’. The local traffic wardens are militant and will happily hide in the bushes and jump out and slap a parking ticket on your car the second you park there! So please be careful.
As with most UK accommodation providers Mayview Guesthouse pre-authorises guests credit cards prior to their arrival. An initial check is conducted on your card at the time of booking and then the cost of your first night is pre-authorised three days prior to your arrival. Upon arrival the pre-authorisation can either be released back to your card or it can be used towards the full cost of your stay.
Standard check in time is between the hours of 3pm and 8pm and checkout time is 10.30am. We will however endeavour to meet any early check in or late check out requests. If you are going to arrive later than 8pm, please contact us prior to your arrival and we will organise access outside these hours for you.
Our guesthouse is manned between the hours of 6.30am and 1pm and 3pm to 8pm. We do however have a live-in manager so if you require anything outside these hours, or you have an emergency, we will be more than happy to assist.
Free luggage storage is available both before you check in and once you have checked out. Please ask a member off staff for assistance.
Breakfast is served between the hours of 7am to 8.30am on weekdays and 8am-9.30am on weekends. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know in advance and we will endeavour to meet them.
